I recently purchased a 2001 Tundra TRD 4x4 Limited with automatic tranny.

I can't get the trans into 4HI or 4LO for the life of me. I've read the manual 5 times and I still can't get it.

Any ideas? Maybe I need to take it to the dealer or are there steps I should follow first to make sure I’m doing it correctly.

I’ve done the following for trying to get into 4HI: Move forward at some speed and press the 4HI button; it blinks and only blinks; I press the button again (out position/disengaged) and press it again; I get nothing but blinks. I stop the vehicle, disengage and re-engage; still nothing but blinks.

I’ll spare you the dribble on 4LO. Basically, when in neutral and pushing buttons I can’t even get it to blink as 4LO.
