As a former owner of a 2004 Hemi Quad Cab 4x4, I have to disagree with some of the things this guy posted.

First off, I've never seen any STOCK 2wd Hemi Quad Cab run mid 14's stock. They just don't do that. With a programmer, maybe, but not off the showroom floor. Low 15's is more like it.

Secondly, yes, the Hemi does have a good top end pull. The difference (again, speaking as someone who put 40,000 miles on a Hemi truck) is that while the Hemi has good top end power, low end power is average. The 5.7L IForce (due to VVT and somewhat with gearing), has a great low end grunt, and an exceptional top end pull. I'd personally put my truck up against any other half ton gas truck from a roll and prove it has a better top end.

So, I'm on the fence with this subject. I loved my Dodge, and think it has a great motor. But, in stock form, the Tundra has a better torque curve, more power, smoother acceleration and is all around, a better performance truck off the lot.

The 4th Generation Ram coming out this Summer will match up better to the Tundra than the 2003-2008 Ram models.
