I've got a 1500 watt (and could use more) monoblock Kicker amp feeding my (3) 12" Pioneer shallows. The Kicker monoblock comes with a remote sub volume that I installed down by my right knee for quick adjustment if needed. Talk about hard hitting, with the volume anywhere from 9 to 14 vision becomes blurry and you can't drive. I put 4 quarters on the carpeted floorboard and watched em jump 4" while playing some Pantera. Ya know, at first ya want it heavy hitting but after a while you tend to keep the volume a little lower.
