I bought my Crewmax when I retired last November. For ten years I was a Back country Outfitter for excursions into the high desert of Southern Idaho. Our BLM permit allowed us access to 7345 Sq miles of Owyhee County. I wanted a new , reliable, vehicle that would take my wife & I as well as another couple, into even more remote areas to take pics of Petroglyphs, and Pictographs left by an earlier culture. We also like to use metal detectors and are set to go into the Nevada high desert west of Rye Patch to look for nuggets. We bring a tent and sleep in the back of the crewmax while our friends sleep in the tent. We usually stay out for a week at a time so the interior space is great for the folks....while the 66 inch rear bed serves well for hauling gear. The 4x4 system is great and it's a step up for us from a Tacoma Crew cab. The mileage is around 17.5 on the Hwy and 15 mpg in the back country. We use this rig and are looking forward to many miles off road in the still remote areas of the west. Best to you Semper Fi
