Oh yeah! Hawaii is the spam capital. Hawaii is the number one consumer of spam in the world.
I believe it has to do with food rationing during WWII. All locals eat spam, it's just what we grew up on. I don't care if your filthy rich, if you were born and raised in Hawaii, you ate spam and liked it.
