thanks for the neat pics. I see you also opted not to cutout the engine cover and just raise it instead. I think this is a very good idea in case you decide to go back to OEM. I also checked on the cost of an engine cover replacement if you did cut it out for the intake pipe and man o man

talk about sticker shock $$$. I will bet most guys will opt to raise instead of cut if they knew what it cost to replace the engine cover. You see all kinds of claims for HP increase like Volant CAI=21, K&N CAI=15, etc, etc, but nobody has said what a TRD CAI or TRD CAI and TRD Dual exhaust will get you as for as increased HP. Why is this?
Does Toyota have any specs on this? You would think for sure that they would have done some testing on all the above. I also read somewhere on this site where a tech said that you run the risk of leaning out the engine if you increase the air intake to much.
