i dont see why youd want to drive faster than 62mph in conditions requiring 4x4 anyway, but thats your call.

I know is sounds ubsurd but when you get a snow packed highway or interstate you can really run at a high speed and do it safely. Ice is different, you gotta go slow. I would not recommend it to everyone but I drive everyday as part of my work which includes driving in bad weather. But a snow packed road is the only time I would travel at a high speed in 4x4. In areas of the US where it snows alot, people run regularly at high speeds in the snow.
