And I called you out for the ONE site because it was obvious that you googled desperately for something after I asked for proof. It was one of the first results searching for "AEM problems".... I guarantee you can find SOMEONE complaining about just about ANY product ever made by looking on google. It really doesn't prove anything as I was unable to find anything else about their products being defective.

The truth about AEM is that they got their start making cold air intakes, and were one of a handful of companies making them in the begining until everyone realized they could slap a filter on a tube and call it their own. Many do not put forth the effort into R&D that AEM does as a company. Take for example their V2 style intakes... that is some serious engineering. Not to mention, they have continuous improvement on products as can be seen in the iterations of Brute Force intakes on diesels. They now have an entire line developed to work better with Diesel engines. So to tell you the truth, I'd rather put my money into a product developed by the leader in the CAI world. I'd probably only go with something else could they prove they have some technology or reason it is better, or if i did serious off-roading and wanted something like AFE, which put's the filter in a box to protect it further.

Or perhaps the reason I have more of an appreciation for a company like AEM is because I myself am a mechanical engineer and know what goes into developing and bringing a product to market.

To wrap it up, you can have an ignorant view on AEM based on the type of vehicles they began modifying (extremely high tech cars, for their time, with small displacement motors that took some very creative methods to extract the most power possible), but I'll be informed and not biased by any misconceptions.

I got it from a website that is un-biased. They do general tests and comparisons.

Dont be mad because its devastating to your case.

I am not saying AEM is BAD, i never once its its BAD, just why would you go that route instead of a better made product?

The guy who posted this even told AEM he'd think about it and they offered it for FREE, should tell you something?

I understand some AEM intake's use K&N Filters.

You can't just appreciate a company because you understand what it takes to make a CAI, in that case you should have the same exact appreciation for every company out there. Not to mention you contradict yourself by saying you know what goes into making one, yet everyone realized you could "slap a filter on a tube and call it their own."

My view on AEM is not by any means ignorant. Don't be mad cause your company installs lower end intakes, its really not a big deal.

But when i present proof of a company who has both good and bad to say about AEM, and you dont appreciate the bad, dont get all pissy. AEM will do its job, while using cheap thin less-durable products than the competition.
