Different tires need different pressures....I go by the fine print on the tire itself. The original tires were kinda squishy, even at max press. That's to be expected of a 'P' rated tire. Now I've got a premium tire with a higher load rating and stiffer sidewalls...experiencing firmer steering, less sideways jiggle, better tracking, at lower pressure than I ran in the oem junk. Experiment! Put a couple more # in the front, add pressure 'till traction and ride suffer. air-down 'till they suck...just stay within safe limits.
