How well does a 5.7 tow???
I am considering buying a 2008 TT 5.7 Limited. It will be mostly a daily driver except I will use it to tow an open trailer and car to and from NH to FL for a couple of months in the winter. Total weight expected to be about 7000 pounds.
Other options I'm considering include 3/4 ton from Ford or Chevy. I have an F150, but don't think it is enough truck with the 4.6L and 3.53 gears.
1. Does anyone have experience pulling this type of load long distances and what is experience?
2. What kind of mileage does this truck get unloaded? EPA says 13-17. Is this accurate.
