Hmmmm....

Ya' know, in my personal experience, going from 70 series to 40 series on my car (a bigger jump than we are talking about with our trucks) I didn't see that aweful much difference in the roughness of the ride. Honestly, I think that messing with the suspension of your vehicle might have a more drastic effect than the tires and wheels.

I know my old Tacoma, which has stock 70 series tires, but which also has worn out suspension, will bounce you, and slam you all the way down the road. My car with little, thin 205/40/17's, but with brand new suspension, feels great by comparison.

As far as the price, yes, the 20's will cost more, but hopefully that will be a one time thing. The tires for 20's, on the other hand, don't seem to be much, if any more expensive. Instead, they are ALL stinking expensive ! Especially if you want a good tire, with fairly long life.

All this said, I'm definately going for 20's.

Peace,
Fish
