as in: bare metal??? What happens if you scrub at it? does it flake away? Or is it rust stains from the enviroment?
It kinda looks like you've been splashing around in something evil (like salt/acid/iron deposits?) and it collected where roadscum usually collects. Maybe the weatherstripping has chafed through the paint in that doorsill photo...and that hose coupling and bracket look nasty- definitely not a paint issue there. What do they put on the roads? What's in the air? If the truck is rusting that bad/that fast, you won't have any trouble meeting your rust-through deadline. Maybe we'll all have to go to Mexico for real paint...or just coat the whole thing in WD40. No rust on mine yet.. and no real wax either. It lives outside and they use de-icer here, but no acid rain. It's snowing again so I'll reinspect another day. Keep us posted.
