Your boats will not like you if you drive highway-speed. They don't drag too much in a normal roof mount (they DO try to fly) but vertical? They'll fold or distort. It'll only be a matter of time before you find-out what they won't go under, to say nothing of your gas mileage with that kind of drag. You can cram gear duffles in a roof-mounted boat (use a hatch cover) but your center of gravity changes, and a Tupperware boat will be even more prone to distortion with stuff in it.
