I installed a K&N 77 CAI this morning, and just got back from a short (about 20 mile) test drive.
NO WHISTLES, at any throttle settings. I had one of these on my last truck, and it never whistled then either.
Power feels incredible. I did a back to back test(not immediately back to back due to install time--anybody else find the K&N instructions a pain in the butt? Some of the brackets COULD NOT be installed in the order they instructed, but were easy to install in a different order!) The K&N would get the tires spinning if I punched it from speeds up to 40 mph, where stock it would only spin the tires from stopped to about 15 mph!!!
