Your installer by law cannot hook up the ground so just ask him to leave it hanging out from under the dash so you can do it. On mine I had to cut a switch into the ground. Every time you start the truck or change gears you have to turn the switch on and off. Strange but it works great. I wouldn't suggest watching a dvd and driving at the same time though. \
