In one of my other treads I spoke about the check engine light code 400's for sensors on my 03 F-150. The first time I was told it takes 8 cycles for the computer to drop the light and code. One cycle is start run for awhile and stop engine. I was also told it's a possible gas cap problem and then that didn't work it was me filling too much gas in the truck. Ahh I guess I'm dumbfounded. The truck was 9 months old when this started. I guess I changed my way of filling up the the dollar mark. But turned out to be a nightmare on the computer. You know manufacturer's didn't put out a bad product it was LOWJACK Velcroed around the computer caused it to malfunction. Well now you know what I'm talking about. For me I would take it in and tell them what is happening. Reason is DOCUMENTATION. You get a copy and so do they. History of the vehicle in case of later things may go wrong for you. I'm not saying it will but cover the rear end. Have it checked out. Find out what code it's giving and learn from it.
