I purposefully bought the Tundra Grade model because I knew as the factory stuff wore out I would be replacing it with better aftermarket stuff. My last 3 Toyota trucks had the TRD package and in my opinion it is not worth the price. The only reason I bought the TRD package on those trucks is because it came with a factory locker which is well worth it. The Tundra doesn't have a locker option.
The TRD suspension doesn't last any longer than regular factory suspension and the skid plates are pretty much a joke. Well they will protect the truck from rocks on the highway but if you plan on getting down and dirty in the rocks buy some 1/4" steel aftermarket skids. YMMV.
