Well, for starters, it is a 1/2 ton. Actually, it is a 1/2 ton minus!!! Your can DEFINITELY feel it when you tow. (To all those that are going to slam me for saying that, and then quote Toyota's "claim" that this truck can tow more than any other 1/2 ton, I say, YOU ARE A VICTIM OF MARKETING HYPE! I've been towing for a living for 30 years, so I have some experience.)

Suspension required some serious upgrading.

The bed walls are too high for a 5th wheel.

The frame is too thin. I wasn't comfortable bolting in my rail mounts, so I welded them for more strength.

GVWR is too low. Pin weights + passenger(s) + cargo = way over GVWR.

I towed this same set up with a Dodge 1500 Hemi, and a Chevy 1500HD and they would have kicked this Toyota's butt in ALL regards but a slight power disadvantage.
