I have an 07 CM 4x4 with TRD package. I've been told the ride is stiffer than a non TRD, but I think my ride in the TRD is pretty good - especially compared to my father-in-law's F250. It's a bouncer big time. I'm not one to modify my vehicles - other than minor cosmetic stuff. As such, it was important that I have the Off Road package because I hunt and fish and wanted the extra off road performance. I think the TRD will also be beneficial at time of resale. Generally anyone who wants a 4x4 wants off road ability and that's where the TRD Package shines best. However, as mentioned in other posts, if you plan on making significant modifications - suspension / wheels, etc, you are probably wasting your money because you would be replacing/removing most of the TRD components.
