i used to haul two bikes in the back of my 2002 tacoma 4dr all the time. hauled a 520sx and 125sx from dallas to LA in the back of the little truck. one thing i learned: the tailgate is fine but the jacks are WEAK. i got a flat on right-rear wheel about 50miles outside of Abilene. pulled over to change the tire. left the bikes in the truck not thinking about it. i got the truck lifted ok but then the jack blew out due to the extra weight of the bikes. now my truck is stuck off the ground but just barley. the flat tire was still touching the ground so i couldnt pull it off. so head's up. i'm sure it's not an issue with the tundras but something worth considering.
With the size of my lift I now keep a 1 ton floor jack in the back of my rig. One thing I need to watch out for is the cracking tailgate, it hasn't happened yet but when I load up my bikes I "RIDE" up the ramp! Imagine if the tailgate snapped while I'm doin that! 07 WR450F and 05 YZ250 2smoke with tricked out rhino in tow! I'll post a pick next time I'm loaded up, I just never think about taking one at the time.
