RMJ - ProForce Cat-Back Exhaust Install

Ok finally the time has come, Kyle came by the shop today and we got the ProForce exhaust on the Tundra.

First off the quality is top notch, all Stainless Steal 409 type. I was not a fan of the rear exit exhaust, but now I am, the look is super clean.

Install took us about 30 minutes, mind you I had the Tundra on the lift and used air tools, but I think that on your driveway with hand tools it would take no more than 1.5 hours from start to finish, and remember to get a buddy to help ya, makes it easier.

I was gonna do a write-up on the install, but truthfully it is very straight forward, you need a few metric sockets, 14m, 12mm, 17mm and that is pretty much it. The instructions ProForce includes rock the house are super clear and even have color pictures.

One tip is at the end of your install, before you tighten the clamps that hold the pipes together, have a buddy place a finger between the exhaust tip and the bumper, helps space it perfect.

Now to the important stuff, sound is deep and calm on start up, with a nice growl when you rev it up. Drove it around this afternoon and nice sound, you no its there but definitely not annoying or overstated. On the freeway at 70 mph, no drone, just nice calm tone.

Right off the bat, throttle response was improved greatly, I also have the K&N intake and I defiantly felt the improvement, and the acceleration is awesome. All in all the Kit was more than expected. For those who want the rear-exit style for much less than BORLA offers, with great quality and looks, this is most defiantly the choice to go with.

Thank you very much Kyle it was worth the wait. I most definitely recommend the exhaust, it’s on to stay.

Enjoy the pictures, I will try to have the sound clips up by tomorrow. Any questions please ask away.

Just for referance my truck was bought in June 2007 and has 12,500 on it.

Took these before the install:

and now the PROFORCE
