a regular hitch will do. the idea behind getting a hitch with more drop than the standard 2" i beleive?, is that for a lower trailer/lighter one say a waverunner, the suspension will not lower or compress any since the waverunnder is such a small load. So by getting say a maybe 5" drop the waverunner sits relatively level with the ground like its suppose to.

Get the standard drop. But make sure the receiver and the ball are rated for at least 8k lbs or more. Most, like at say walmart are for 5k lbs or maybe 6 tops.
