The drivetrain button with the "X" in the middle is the center differential lock for AWD (All wheel drive) systems. It becasically locks the center diff so the front and rear get a 50/50 power split. Otherwise it's computer controlled and the front wheels only get enough power to satisfy the computer that traction has been gained.

BTW, the "X" button is not avaliable on the Tundras. We have part-time 4-wheel drive systems. The "X" button is on the 4WD/AWD Sequoias, Land Cruiser's, 4Runners and LX470-LX570s & GX470s.

This button does not mean it has locking front and rear differentials.
