I think its great Toyota is getting into diesel. I do believe in the end its cost the same amount of money to move a certain weight vehicle. You buy a diesel for a bit better gas mileage but it costs you 8 grand more then the gas model when you buy it. You can buy a bunch of gas for 8 grand.
The ethonol idea was really stupid. You don't get the mileage out of it and it costs more to produce and deliver to the pump. Not to mention we now have food costs connected to our major fuel consumption problem.
By the way I'm very satisfied with the Tundra's performance and inside layout. Its close to perfect....
I need a truck for my work for towing so the Tundra's the perfect match. I do ocansionally envy those small compact Toyota's that drive by getting 35 mpg.
