I have a feeling there's going to be quite a few replies on this thread.

Anyway, I had a 2004 Mazda (traded for the Tundra) that had "Auto Armor" applied by the dealership. I loved it. Supposedly with this "protectant" you never had to wax the vehicle. You could if you wanted to though. I never waxed it and 4 years later it still looked like I waxed it every time i washed it.

I asked the Dealership to apply the same thing to the Tundra. They charged me $100 (The guy in the service dept. said they usually charge $300) and it took them about 30 minutes to apply it. I'll have to check exactly what they applied but i know i have a paper with a 5 year warranty. I'll post more once i can verify everything.

Let me say a couple things:

1. I'm by no means an expert on this. I'm just telling you my past experience and i thought the "Protectant" was worth every penny.

2. I realize you can probably buy a bottle of whatever the dealership uses for a lot less. However, I'm not sure it would come with a warranty.

Anyone who knows anything about this please reply. I would love to know more. thanks
