Interesting WOT experience

My truck came with factory weather guard rubber mats. I found a good deal on some carpet mats so I threw them under the rubber ones. The rubber ones usually stay put, but they don't hook to the carpet clips anymore.

Anyway, I was driving home the other night and needed to pass a couple cars. I had the throttle down for a little bit and when I went to let off, the truck kept on going. Man I was already up to about 85-90 when I was passing and it jumped up to 110-115 pretty quick. I was pretty freaked out because I thought the throttle had stuck open, but it turns out it had caught the edge of the rubber mat. Normally it would be pretty obvious that was what happened, but it was dark and I couldn't see it. I figured it out pretty quick, but I figure I would extend a warning out to any of you guys who have a similar setup.
