Because I have not had the opportunity to experiment with other CAI systems I really can't say which is best. What I can say is that I have had good track history with KN and so I went with the 77 Series CAI. I got a good price through Autoanything.com. I was only able to achieve 17MPG on long trips before the install. I just checked my fuel mileage last week and I got 19.87 or lets just round to 20 MPG with the new CAI from KN. Keep in mind this is in Colorado at high altitude and cold weather. The high point is the sound that the engine makes now and the power, and although people don't agree with the 50hp increase at 3500 RPM, there is a lot more punch now from 3500-5200 RPM that turns heads when you lay into the 5.7.
