I haven't talked to this guy since we did the job. (No news is good news). But we discussed that before we did the project. He has a glass enclosure in front of the fireplace so I am pretty sure that with it closed there won't be any problem. And there shouldn't be a problem unless he closes the damper enough to back a major amount of heat in to the room. With that said "I don't know".
