Thanks for the reply. I don't want a cat back because I'm tired of dealing with leaks. I'd like to get a good sounding muffler with a nice rumble but not annoying or with a droan.

Believe me I spent some time on my old 01's exhaust system and it sounded and ran great except for the workmanship on it was crap and they were and are still the only long tube headers around.

So, No! I don't want to spend $2K on this truck. Chances are I'll be trading it in in a year or 2. I just need the muffler to weld on that will not ruin my trucks performance right now. As it is I'm getting 14MPGs. I don't want to revisit the 12MPGs stage. I was getting 15MPG but then I slapped on some Enkei 20s and am now suffering. I figure I can get a good muff for sound and maintaining my performance as is. If I can get good performance and better mileage that will just be gravy.

I read somewhere that the 4.7l Does not like anything other than the stock pipe diameter.
