Well, I don't care what Mythbusters said, my mileage went up by almost 2 mpg when I went to the mid grade. The ONLY gas I run is Chevron - and using their regular grade I had NO ping and NO performance issues. As such, I didn't think that going up a grade would do anything. But the very best I could do was 15.3 mpg with mixed driving. I am now running Chevron plus and the mileage has jumped to the low 17's - and that's a consistant increase measured over three full tanks.

Heck, you can see the difference on the trip computer as you're driving. Hills that use to drop me down to 13 or 14 mpg now show a steady 16.

But don't take my word for it, just try it yourself. The cost difference for a full tank is right at $3 and it certainly can't hurt anything.
