I have found with mine that the conversion when switching form L/Litres to MPG is in fact using the USA conversion number rather than Canadian.
This is Candain bought tundra to boot??????????
In the manual it suggests both ENGLISH and US Conversion factors can be programed in the system.
EASY TO CONFIRM
Switch between AVG L/100kms and AVG MPG on computer readout do a hand calculation using the following factor.
Canadian Conversion =
(AVG L/ 100kms to CAN AVG MPG) is (282.481 divided by ( *** ) L/100 kms).
American Conversion
( AVG L/100kms to US AVG MPG ) is (235.2146 divided by ( ***) L/100kms)
One thing I do know is when I'm up to speed on the hwy 100km/hr I avg 21 mpg even with wrong conversion. once I enter city driving the AVG drops like a rock.
However I suspect some of drop is due to the fact the dealer at my last oil change for some reason used 5W30w oil ???

Actually I do it the old fashion way, My Titan does not have the onboard computer so ever fill up I reset the trip and write down the gallons. it is never truely accurate because you never know you filled the truck up to the exact same level each time, so I try to run it down to the same level of empty and try and fill up with the same amount of gallons each time and average it out.
I have noticed that my titan down shifts quite a bit while driving say 60 MPH and I want to speed up just a little, even if i just barely touch the gas pedal it immediately down shifts and the RPM's jump up to 2000 maybe 2200 from 1500. I believe allot of my loss of fuel economy may be caused by the constant down shifting.
When driving the Tundra and tested the same scenario it did not seem to down shift like mine does.
Which is why I was hoping to get a consensus on people trucks. How many miles do you get on a Tank, how many gallons does it usually take to fill up,
is it 2 wheel drive or 4, does it have a lift and what size tires etc etc
this way I can actually see how it compares to mine. I know the Tundra has tremendous amount more power than the Tundra that is for sure
Thanks
