It senses sound and raises and lowers the volume so when you are on the highway it is louder and when you slow down it gets quieter. My bass is just like any other stereo and does not operate on Low Med High.

You may be right...I haven't looked on how to turn that feature off yet but it's not on the top of my list yet. So how can you tell if it is the JBS system?
