i was assured 17 mpg. Yes, i did purchase this truck because I am a toyota fan. I loved my previous one.
can anyone tell me if and when the mileage will get better.
oh yeah, I live in Canada and am driving in an average of -20 degrees C

tks
When your driving your truck are you letting it warm up for a few minutes before you take off? How far are you driving at a time? These will have factors on your fuel mileage. The best fuel economy won't happen until the truck is up to operating temperature. If your running your truck cold you will get terrible gas mileage. Since your temperatures are extremely cold right now not letting your truck warm up (if you aren't doing so) is going to be detrimental to your fuel economy.

I'm not an expert, but this is from my experience with my own vehicles.
