This will happen on flat roads, up hills, down hills, pretty much anytime. Transmission and driveline are all up to operating temperatures too. I've had it into the dealer once and took the service manager for a ride, but could not replicate it (of course!). Has anyone else ran into this issue? It's pretty much the only thing that is bothering me about it. Oh yeah, it's an 07, DC, 4x4, 5.7 TRD package.

I've had the problem of the trans not shifting into OD. One time on the wife Yukon and another on my Sonoma. In both cases, the transmission burned up. Both were repaired at two different Mechanic Shops. I asked both what caused those problems. Both said the trans. not locking up in OD causes the trans to overheat and burn the the aft section. I would not let the dealer rest on this one and they would have to make some kind of a move toward fixing this problem. Not shifting into 6th[OD] will damage your transmission.
