Traded in a 2000 Ford F-350 crewcab dually on the Tundra. I am sick and tired of problems with Fords!!! What burns me up is that on all problems that I had, Ford mechanics and parts persons all confirmed they were "common" problems with these SuperDuties!!!! A friend of mine has a 2003 Superduty and has the exact same problems. Ford can't find a cure in 3 or more years???? I'll bet $25 of improvments at the factory level could make a $45,000 truck have some quality.
How about ball joints commonly wearing out every 35,000 miles? And I don't have any extra weight on the front, such as a plow. Toyota owners have probably never heard of ball joints!
I emailed a list of problems to Ford and told them that if they offered me a discount to make up for the problems that I would remain a loyal Ford customer. They couldn't of cared less! Must be they have their heads buried so far somewhere that they can't figure out why Toyota is kicking their butts!
