To appease chevyman, I will consider a new Silverado but I have owned 10 Honda's and 2 Toyota's in the last 31 years and have been very happy with them, especially the resale value. I think I should be able to get 50% of what I payed for my 01 as it only has 45000 miles and is in great shape. Can you do that on a Chevy or a Ford. No problems on the Tundra whatsoever except for 02 sensors replaced under Toyo's extended warranty on them.
I own a new tundra and I traded in a 2000 Silverado LT z71 that had a 112000 miles on it and I got 10000 for it and only paid 21000 when it had 25000 miles on it. You can get that if you take care of it! The new tundra will roll the chevy and squash the ford!
