You've got the same problem all of us have, as part of what gives the Tundra such a high tow/haul rating is the fact it has a stiff suspension which translates into a hard ride. This problem is compounded if you have the TRD off-road package; like I do, with the Bilstein gas shocks.
Keeping the tire pressure between 30 to 33 psi (cold pressure) does help. Besides, I noticed; referring to the spec sticker on the door jam, that's what it should be anyway.
Adding a couple of hundred pounds of weight over the rear axle helps a lot, but I agree, this shouldn't be the answer as performance, handling and fuel economy will suffer.
Going with lighter springs won't work either, as this will only serve to magnify the dreaded bed-bounce problem.
I'm thinking changing the shocks to ones with an adjustable or softer dampening rate will help this problem, although I couldn't say how much.
If anyone out there comes up with, or has, a proven solution, please share it with the rest of us.
