I haven't seen any post about the 4.6L mpg and to just to let the 5.7L guy how much money they are wasting!
4x2 dc 4.6l with tonneau, k&n drop in, and carbon filter removed.
35mile one way trip to work 85% highway at 5 over speed limit on a 70mph road and 65mph road. 19.6 mpg.
No wasted fuel money here; on a recent drive up the Oregon coast we averaged 19.4. Very little of that highway is flat or straight and there are towns about every 30 miles with speed limits that drop to 25-40.
5.7l guys are so sensitive. Lets post consistant performance guys. Not one time in band camp and the wind was behind me kind of mileage. This was meant for an informational topic for the 4.6l and I'm sorry if you can't take a little dig.
I also have a 40 foot RV and a 1960 chevy Impala with a 348 in it.
I D G A F about gas mileage nor do I care how many Bananna slugs might die if I punch the accelerator while towing my 1960 Impala with my Tundra on my way back to my campsite to drink beer emit carbon monoxide out my mouth and ass...............Over

Mongo forgot one: 5.7 boys don't feel like candy-assed wimps when pulling up next to another truck, where you 4.6 boys will stay two car lengths back so as not to be seen.

Thats a pretty big assumption. Does your 5.7 make you a tough guy?
I'm on my 3rd tank of gas with my 4.6 work truck package longbed.
I pull a trailer that weighs about 1500 pounds empty, prolly 65% of the time during each tank of gas with mixed city & highway.Half the time traveled towing the trailer has cargo that averages up to 1500 pounds, so 3000 total.
My fuel light seems to come on between 250 and 270, then I drive to the 300 mile mark, then fill it up. Think I've put about 22 gallons of gas on each fill-up.
Well I have a 5.7 and have been doing a spread sheet of my gas mileage and my average is 14.6 MPG that is over 11 tanks. Each tank is different some with 75% highway and some with 100% city driving. Just to let you know I wanted the smaller V8, but the 5.7 got better MPG by 1. I am glad I chose the 5.7.
