If you just filled fuel recently, check that your gas cap is tight. Service manual lists 5 things.
1. Purge valve
2. Purge valve circuit (between purge valve and ECM)
3. Leakage from EVAP line(between purge valve and intake manifold)
4. EVAP line (between purge valve and canister)
5. ECM

I had this code on my 05, but I think I had another code with it. I replaced my charcoal canister/vacuum pump assembly. I suspected that because the truck had flooded up to the floorboard. Fixed the problem and was only $150, + or -, for the whole assembly new from Toyota. The assembly is under the truck near the gas tank. You can check the wires and hoses on that assembly pretty easy just to see if anything looks wrong.
