I went through this mod for both driver and passenger seatbelts. I cannot get the passenger airbag to come on with a passenger sitting there buckled in even after putting the tape on the slider to hold it down.

IS there something I am doing wrong?

Can somebody also explain how the passenger airbag, which works by sensing weight in the passenger seat, works with the seatbelt sensor? In other words, in stock form, the weight sensor knew someone was sitting in the seat and then made the seatbelt warning go off if it was not buckled. Now that the seatbelt warning is disabled, how does the airbag still not come on regardless of if the buckle is used or not?
