To flame or Not to flame, that is not the question...It seems that too much weight was on the tailgate. I'm confused about the 14 inch overhang on the tailgate...did he mean non-weight bearing overhang or back tires on the tailgate? If the back wheels are on the tailgate...one pothole will stress the whole assembly. Could be a loading mistake too. I've only ever loaded motorcycles, but I've seen Quad Runners and Wave Runners in beds. Watched three drunks put a Wave Runner in a POS Chevy once. I think I seen em on a Jerry Spinger episode once- very amusing
