WOW! I drove 2 new 2008 Tundra's today with the 5.7L and both had the vibration when accelerating from a stop. I assumed it was normal since both did exactly the same thing. I don't think it's normal and I don't think I'm getting the 5.7L with the 6 speed trans after reading about all the issues with this motor and trans. I don't think the problem is fixed and I don't think there should be any vibrations when accelerating. The 1st Tundra I drove was the 4.7L/5speed. It drove like a luxury car to me and had no vibrations. HMMM! I just got rid of an F-150 with vibration issues that drove me crazy for 3 years. Not again. IT SEEMS LIKE THE 4.7L/5SPEED IS THE MORE RELIABLE MOTOR AND TRANNY. DOES ANYONE AGREE.
