I had that problem on my 88 F250 pickup and I spent 3 days replacing plugs on both the trailer, and my truck, rewired the whole trailer, just to find out by taking it to my local UHAUL shop that a fuseable link had fried and left me with no juice to my trailer plug on my truck. What a headache. Problem was corrected with a $6 fuseable link and a couple of butt connectors. Not to mention the $120 I spent on all the plugs and wire for the trailer which I didn't need, although the trailer wiring and plugs were all new after that.
