My Tundra replaced my 98 Dakota, which went 623,000 miles. Most of those miles were on tyres I purchased from America's Tire Store/Discount Tire.
They kept the pressure at 35 lbs and cross rotated the back to the front and the front straight back. The spare was never used.
I got 163,000 miles out of one set of Michelins.
I have carried 1200 lbs down I-5 from The San Francisco Bay Area to LA, at 70 MPH and been to Phoenix also. Most driving is around half freeway.
I've been told that Michelin no longer cares which direction their tires turn.
