Dude...don't waste ur $...doesn't make any diff to performance. Suffice that Yota didn't spend gobs of $ to put that strange design without exploring all options. Oil on the MAF is only when YOU over oil the filter, and it can be cleaned anyway. Unless ur gonna go FI or do a ram air hood or bumper trumpet, there's little reason to do anything but go to a good aftermarket filter that will improve the flow of the stock kit. 10-20hp improvements are just plain bullshit...take the money and buy LT headers or hi-flo cats & cat back - thats worth it!
Lastly...there are some who contend that these after-market's with metal (steel, Alum...etc) intake heat up and thus transfer that heat to the air charge - and thats why all the typical stock units are plastic or fibreglass. I dunno how much diff that makes on a stock set-up, but if u go FI IAT's are one of the biggest factors in avoiding KR and making more power as u turn up the boost.
