More wheels turning means more traction. So it will help you take off from a dead stop. But you could destroy your transfer case from driveline windup caused from using part-time 4WD on high traction surfaces. Look around the net and you can find pictures from people who have done it on other vehicles. Haven't seen any from the Tundra yet. Driveline windup is also called axle bind or drive line bind if you want to search for more information on it. It can also happen from driving long distance in 4WD without a center differential.

The image below is the transfer case of a Jeep Grand Cherokee after accidentally driving about for 150 miles in part time 4WD on the freeway. It exploded at about 70 mph.
