mick - I have found that using a sheet is the best option for keeping as much hair off of the seat as possible. But with my dogs, they like to move around, so they can still get some hair on the seats. But nothing like it would have been without the sheet. I use the tape once I take the sheet out just to make sure that I get all the hair up. Good luck.
