Note: I am making this thread because I spent an hour searching for info on this with no luck. Special thanks to *** and sxd for telling me to rip it out
Remember, if you install any CAI or after market intake, you will be with out this charcoal filter. So why keep it!
Time: 30 sec
1. Pry off the charcoal filter with a flat head screw driver. Start with a corner, then just it just pops off with little force

Note: No need to cut the filter.
2. Test drive.
The charcoal filter is very restrictive. Using a can of compressed air, blowing through the charcoal filter cuts the air down to only a trickle. Just look how thick this 7 layer beast is:
Wow, what a diffrence!
Loud, deap throaty sound up front!
Increased throttle response!
Next steps: Im guessing, find and install a drop in filter. Then dyno this vs a common CAI.
