I'm using Rain-X Bug & Tar remover. Its a bit greasy. Just spray on, let set for about 5 minutes, then wash with a sponge and soap. Reapply if nessesary. It works well on the real chrome, the paint, and on the plastic-chrome grill areas as well. HTH.

Oh, and don't forget to add a couple layers of polish (optional) and wax afterwards to make it easier to get them off in the future. Also, don't let those bugs sit on there for 6 months, particularly love bugs. The bugs will bake on. The love bugs will dissolve your finish.
