Lets skip the 18",20" or 22" wheel debate. I couldnt find anything i really liked in a 18-20" wheel. I ordered the Boss 335 22 x 9 wheel today in a black center/polished lip today so thats a done deal.
I originally was leaning towards an ATX Teflon wheel and a 275/60r20 Wrangler Silent Armor but I just couldnt pull the trigger on the ATX wheel.
I work for Goodyear at retail store so i pretty much get cost on wheels and tires. I can pick up a Goodyear Fortera SL 305/40 or 45r 22 tire for appx $140 a tire. I can also grab a tire made by Goodyear called the Fierce, for around $100 per tire. The Fierce and Fortera are a directional "sport truck" type of tread. Ive had a ton of lowered cars, suv's, etc on low profile/wide wheel set ups and was thinking i wanted to do something different to the Tundra.
Just by chance we had a gmc 1500HD truck in today with 20" wheels and 20" Nitto Dune Grappler tires on it, i really liked the look and it would fit the need to do something different. Only draw back is the Nitto's are appx $100-$120 more per tire and may possibly ride worse than the "sport" tires.
Just kinda looking for opinions and thinking out loud at the same time.
The budget is an issue and the Nitto's will stretch it reallllly tight.
